  1. Hello Line Dance Girl,
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
We've been doning this dance ('the freeze') under the name 'down and dirty' in northern Virginia. Often we do it to the tune "something to talk about" by bonnie raitt. We definitely get a kick out of clarence carter. BTW, he's an old-timer. Did you ever hear the tune "slip away"?
    Thanks,
    Charlie from Fairfax

  2. Hey, Charlie, I know it's not likely you'll see this, since your comment was 2 1/2 years ago, but I'll try.

When I lived in NoVa more than 7 years ago, we did a non-line dance to Brooks & Dunn's Neon Moon. Having moved to WA, nobody out here knows that dance and I don't remember enough to teach it.

If you could help me by just giving me the name of the dance, maybe I can find the steps online.

    I'd appreciate your help.

  3. Hi, Charlie,

When I lived in NoVa 7+ years ago, we did a great couples dance to Brooks & Dunn's Neon Moon.

Since moving to Washington, I've learned that nobody here knows the dance, and I don't remember enough to teach it.

If you could help me just by telling me the name of the dance, maybe I can find info online.

    Thanks.

  4. I remember this dance before it became country. It started in the very early 70's as a rock dance. That was before disco picked it up and ruined it. The Gap Band's song you dropped a bomb on me almost brought it back. But it was the Country-Disco Clubs that finely did that.
